ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Information for secondary school students: First you have to be admitted to International Relations at the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the University of Lodz (you can find admission guidelines at Lodz University website). The program of studies has two stages. At the first stage (undergraduate) you follow a general curriculum of International Relations program of study, however, since the first year you can choose various optional subjects which are offered by Oriental Specialization. In your third year you decide on the profile of the second stage of studies.

Oriental Specialization offers:

Second-stage studies/postgraduate (two years) ? resident 

Approximate number of students: 35 

Admission requirements:

Candidates will be selected on the following basis

3. Documents confirming the candidate?s interest in topics, which are investigated within the framework of the specialization, for which candidates will be granted additional points (together for all activities which are mentioned below ? no more than 100 points):

a) a topic of the candidate?s diploma thesis connected with the specialization ? 20 points,

b) subjects relevant to the specialization which were chosen by the candidate during his or her first stage of studies ? 10 points for each subject,

a) publications ? 10 points for each,

b) participation in academic conferences ? 10 points for each.

 


Second-stage studies/postgraduate (two years) ? non-resident studies (extra-mural)

Approximate number of students: 30

Admission requirements:

Diplomas contest. 

Candidates' applications will be assessed on the basis of diplomas received after the successful completion of their first stage studies.
